To update your Aadhaar card details, such as your name, address, mobile number, gender, date of birth, etc., you can follow these steps:

Online Method (UIDAI Portal):

  1. Visit the UIDAI Official Website: Go to the official UIDAI website: https://uidai.gov.in/.
  2. Click on "Update Aadhaar": Look for the "My Aadhaar" section on the homepage. Under this section, you will find various options. Click on the "Update Your Aadhaar Data" or "Update Demographics Data Online" option.
  3. Enter Aadhaar Number: On the "Update Aadhaar" page, enter your Aadhaar number and the security code (captcha). Click on "Send OTP".
  4. Receive OTP: An OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to the mobile number registered with your Aadhaar. Enter this OTP in the space provided.
  5. Select Fields to Update: Choose the fields you want to update and enter the new information.
  6. Upload Supporting Documents: Depending on the field(s) you are updating, you may need to upload scanned copies of supporting documents.
  7. Submit Update Request: After entering the updated information and uploading documents (if required), review the details and submit your update request.
  8. URN Generation: Upon successful submission, a URN (Update Request Number) will be generated. Keep this number for future reference.

Offline Method (Visit Aadhaar Enrolment Centre):

  1. Visit Aadhaar Enrolment Centre: Locate the nearest Aadhaar Enrolment Centre in your area.
  2. Fill the Update Form: Obtain the Aadhaar update form from the Enrolment Centre or download it from the UIDAI website. Fill out the form with the correct details you want to update.
  3. Submit Form and Documents: Submit the filled update form along with the supporting documents (if required) to the officials at the Enrolment Centre.
  4. Biometric Authentication: Undergo biometric authentication (fingerprint and iris scan) for identity verification purposes.
  5. Receipt Generation: After successful submission, an acknowledgment receipt containing the Update Request Number (URN) will be provided to you. Keep this receipt for tracking the status of your update request.

Your Aadhaar update request will be processed by UIDAI, and once approved, you will receive an updated Aadhaar card with the corrected information.
