To download your Aadhaar card, you can follow these steps:
Downloading Aadhaar Card Online:
- Visit the UIDAI Official Website: Go to the official UIDAI website: https://uidai.gov.in/.
- Click on "Download Aadhaar": Look for the "My Aadhaar" section on the homepage. Under this section, you will find various options. Click on the "Download Aadhaar" option.
- Enter Aadhaar Number or VID: On the "Download Aadhaar" page, you will be prompted to enter your Aadhaar number or Virtual ID (VID) and other details such as your full name, PIN code, and the security code (captcha).
- Request OTP: Click on the "Send OTP" button. UIDAI will send a One-Time Password (OTP) to the mobile number registered with your Aadhaar.
- Enter OTP: Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number in the space provided on the website.
- Download Aadhaar: After entering the OTP, you will be able to download your Aadhaar card in PDF format. The PDF will be password-protected.
- Enter Password: To open the downloaded Aadhaar PDF, you need to enter a password. The password consists of the first four letters of your name as mentioned on the Aadhaar card (in CAPITAL letters) followed by your birth year in YYYY format.
- Open Aadhaar PDF: Open the downloaded Aadhaar PDF using a PDF reader application. Enter the password when prompted to view the contents of the Aadhaar card.
- Print or Save: Once you have opened the Aadhaar PDF, you can either print a physical copy or save it digitally for your records.
Downloading Using mAadhaar App:
Alternatively, you can also download your Aadhaar card using the mAadhaar mobile app:
- Download and install the mAadhaar app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- Open the app and set a password for security.
- Link your Aadhaar to the app by entering your Aadhaar number or scanning the QR code on your Aadhaar card.
- After linking, you can view and download your Aadhaar card through the app.
Ensure that you keep your Aadhaar details secure and avoid sharing them with unauthorized individuals or websites.
