To update your Aadhaar details, including demographic information such as name, address, date of birth, gender, mobile number, and email ID, you can follow these steps:

Online Method:

  1. Visit the official UIDAI Self Service Update Portal: https://ssup.uidai.gov.in/web/guest/update
  2. Click on "Proceed to Update Aadhaar" or "Update Aadhaar Details Online".
  3. Enter your Aadhaar number and the text verification code.
  4. Click on "Send OTP" to receive a one-time password on your registered mobile number.
  5. Enter the OTP received and proceed.
  6. Select the details you want to update and provide the new information.
  7. Upload the necessary supporting documents as per the required changes.
  8. Review the data you have provided and submit the update request.
  9. After submission, you will receive an acknowledgment slip with an Update Request Number (URN) for future reference.

Visit Aadhaar Enrollment Center:

You can also visit the nearest Aadhaar Enrollment Center to update your details. Follow these steps:

  1. Locate the nearest Aadhaar Enrollment Center using the UIDAI portal: https://appointments.uidai.gov.in/easearch.aspx
  2. Visit the center and fill out the Aadhaar update form with the correct details.
  3. Submit the form along with supporting documents.
  4. Your biometrics (photograph, fingerprints, and iris scan) may be captured for authentication.
  5. After verification, you will receive an acknowledgment slip with an Update Request Number (URN) for future reference.

Via Post:

If you are unable to visit an Aadhaar Enrollment Center, you can also update your details by sending a request through post. Follow these steps:

  1. Download the Aadhaar Update/Correction Form from the UIDAI website: https://uidai.gov.in/images/UpdateRequestFormV2.pdf
  2. Fill out the form with the correct details.
  3. Enclose self-attested copies of supporting documents.
  4. Send the form and documents to the address mentioned on the form.

Once your update request is processed and verified, you will receive an updated Aadhaar card with the corrected information. It usually takes a few weeks for the updates to reflect in your Aadhaar details.
