E-Aadhaar, also known as electronic Aadhaar, is a digital version of the Aadhaar card issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). It serves as a valid proof of identity and address, similar to the physical Aadhaar card. E-Aadhaar can be easily downloaded and printed from the official UIDAI website using your Aadhaar number, Enrollment ID (EID), or Virtual ID (VID).

Here's how you can download your E-Aadhaar:

  1. Visit the official UIDAI website: Go to the UIDAI's official portal at https://uidai.gov.in/.
  2. Click on the "Download Aadhaar" option: Under the "My Aadhaar" tab, select the "Download Aadhaar" option from the drop-down menu.
  3. Enter your Aadhaar details: On the next page, you'll be prompted to enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number, 16-digit Virtual ID, or 28-digit Enrollment ID, along with other required details such as your full name, PIN code, and mobile number.
  4. Request OTP: After entering the details, click on the "Request OTP" button. You'll receive a one-time password (OTP) on your registered mobile number.
  5. Enter OTP: Enter the OTP received on your mobile number in the designated field and click on the "Download Aadhaar" button.
  6. Download your E-Aadhaar: Once the OTP is verified, you'll be able to download your E-Aadhaar in PDF format. You can open the PDF using a password, which is the first four letters of your name followed by your birth year (in YYYY format).
  7. Print your E-Aadhaar: Open the downloaded PDF using Adobe Acrobat Reader or any PDF viewer and print the E-Aadhaar on an A4 size paper.

Your E-Aadhaar serves as a valid proof of identity and address, and you can use it for various purposes such as opening a bank account, applying for government schemes, and more. Make sure to keep your E-Aadhaar safe and secure.
